About
Middleware is the product.
I'm Pankaj Agrawal, an Integration Engineer with 7+ years of experience in enterprise integration and middleware technologies, primarily focused on the Software AG webMethods platform.
I began my career with Accenture in 2018, where I developed strong expertise in designing, developing, and supporting integration solutions across enterprise systems. Over the years, I've worked extensively on webMethods 9.7, 10.3, and 10.5, delivering scalable integrations and supporting mission-critical production environments.
My experience includes working with key Software AG components such as webMethods Designer, Integration Server, My webMethods Server (MWS), JDBC Adapter, Universal Messaging, BPM, and webMethods Deployer. I've built and supported integrations using REST and SOAP APIs, publish-subscribe messaging, XML, and JSON, enabling seamless communication between enterprise applications including Java and Oracle-based systems.
I've also been actively involved in production support, high-priority incident resolution, impact analysis, and system migrations — including a major migration from webMethods 9.7 to 10.3. My work includes BPM integrations using file polling, FTP, REST, SOAP services, JDBC adapters, and adapter notifications.
Beyond development, I've contributed to automation and DevOps initiatives, including building automated post-deployment tools and CI/CD pipelines using AWS to streamline deployment. I regularly work with tools such as Postman, SoapUI, and Jira, across both Agile and Waterfall environments.
I'm passionate about building reliable, scalable integration solutions and continuously improving enterprise integration architecture.

Career history
Where I've worked
I design for failure first, document integrations as contracts, and treat observability as a feature — not something bolted on after an incident.
